Wind Turbine Generator Industry News

  • In July 2026, RWE started generating electricity at Nordseecluster A, its 660 MW offshore wind project in Germany. The project entered the generation phase with 44 Vestas turbines. Further, the company will continue its construction work at the site, including foundation installation, to complete the grid connection in early 2027. The full project commissioning however is planned for 2029.
  • In March 2026, Vestas Wind Systems entered a supply agreement for 92 V236-15.0 MW turbines to RWE's 1,380 MW Norfolk Vanguard East offshore wind project in the UK.
