By 2028, contractors with digital drilling capability, strong well-control performance, and long-duration operator relationships will hold a clearer advantage in contract renewals.
Digital and autonomous drilling, demand for high-specification rigs, low-emission equipment integration, and longer service contracts define the market's commercial direction. Environmental requirements will lengthen planning cycles, but they will also reward contractors that already meet well-control, emissions, and reporting expectations. By Service Type
Drilling services lead the market with a 44.8% revenue share in 2025 and will grow at a 3.9% CAGR through 2035. North America
North America accounts for 21.5% of market revenue in 2025 and is the fastest-growing regional market, with a 4.7% CAGR through 2035.
