In March 2026, Thermax extended its reach in the boilers segment through the company’s subsidiary Thermax Boilers & Waste Heat Energy Solutions (TBWES) that won a USD 168 million contract for the provision of a boiler package for the ultra-supercritical thermal power plant of 800 MW capacity. The scope of the project involves manufacture, supply, supervision during installation, commissioning, and performance testing of the boiler package.
In January 2026, A.O. Smith completed the acquisition of LVC Holdco LLC for USD 470 million, providing more strength to the company in terms of water temperature and flow regulation technology. This will improve its product lines in boilers and water heaters by adding temperature-mixing technologies to highly efficient technologies.
