Harmonic and cycloidal architectures depend on specialized components, manufacturing tolerances, and validation processes that are difficult to replace quickly. At the same time, tariff exposure, imported-component reliance, and long custom-order cycles make supply assurance part of the product offering. The most attractive opportunity is not indiscriminate localization. It is targeted regional capability in assembly, engineering, repair, and inventory for high-value programs, where shorter response times can offset the cost disadvantage of producing entirely within North America.
