  • In May 2024, AEG power solutions was chosen to provide the green hydrogen production and energy storage platform with AC and DC UPS redundant systems specifically at CrossWind’s Hollandse offshore wind farm in Netherlands. The project that aims to use the excess wind energy to facilitate the production of green hydrogen was developed by the Shell-Eneco joint venture.   • In January 2023, Siemens Energy in collaboration with Dragados Offshore, has secured a landmark contract to construct converter systems for two 2-gigawatt offshore grid connections. Commissioned by German transmission operator Amprion, this innovative project represents the world’s first offshore grid connection of such scale. Designed to transport up to 4 GW of wind energy from the North Sea to the mainland, it will supply renewable electricity to approximately four million people.
