This makes singulation a bottleneck investment rather than a discretionary conveyor upgrade.

Demand is capital-project dependent, so high interest rates, legacy-system integration, and constrained buildings can defer orders even when parcel volumes rise. Labor inflation supports the decision, but it does not solve capital approval; buyers must see how a system handles their actual mix of cartons, polybags, and exceptions without creating an integration burden that erodes the savings.
This distinction separates greenfield and brownfield demand. Greenfield hubs can specify full automation around a planned flow, while established facilities increasingly value compact footprints, modular commissioning, and controls accountability. As a result, system integrators become more influential even as OEMs pursue direct relationships, and service capability becomes part of the competitive product.

Conveyor-based systems represent 59.2% of 2025 revenue, or $432.3 million, and remain the volume backbone for consistent carton streams. However, the incremental value pool moves toward robotic, AI-guided, and hybrid systems because those products address the costly exceptions—polybags, irregular parcels, constrained footprints, and changing fulfillment profiles—that traditional lines handle poorly.
End-use and channel data reinforce that conclusion. E-commerce and 3PL demand rewards flexibility, while system integrators capture a greater share of delivery because performance is determined across mechanical, software, and operating layers. OEMs that sell a high-throughput machine without a credible integration path will be less competitive in the fastest-growing applications.

Asia Pacific, Latin America, and MEA gain share because greenfield hubs can embed advanced singulation in the original operating design rather than retrofit it around legacy flows.
The supplier implication is equally uneven. Established markets reward service coverage, controls integration, and demonstrated uptime; faster-growth markets reward adaptable specifications, local deployment capacity, and financing that can accommodate project-based procurement. A global product catalogue alone will not address both requirements.

Competition is therefore moving from nominal throughput toward the ability to sustain it across a variable parcel stream.
